MISSION STATEMENT:
Our mission is to show the compassionate love of Christ by serving children with disabilities and women facing unplanned pregnancies, transforming their lives and the lives of those around them.
PREGNANCY CARE:
Poverty. Broken relationships. Fear of the future – especially now during the war with Russia. For many women who find themselves pregnant, abortion seems to be the only answer. We have found that by providing compassionate relationships, medical care, and very real humanitarian assistance throughout her pregnancy and the first 18 months after the baby’s delivery, we can truly make a life-saving and life-changing difference in the lives of these moms and their unborn children. What started as one of the first Pregnancy Care Centers in Ukraine has grown into a regional effort in four cities. Interestingly, even in these past three years during tremendously difficult economic times and the uncertainty of war, a record number of mothers have decided to continue their pregnancies with tangible support and personal care from Mission to Ukraine staff and volunteers.
DISABILITY SERVICES:
Children with disabilities in Ukraine face isolation, neglect, and poverty, particularly those in single-mother families. Individuals lack assistance due to severe government budget restraints. As a result, they are detached from even basic opportunities and services, including education, rehabilitation, and medical care. These families are seen as “the least of these” with no voice and little acceptance.
Mission to Ukraine actively reverses isolation and meets families’ gripping needs through our comprehensive Model of Care. We also advocate on their behalf to change how society views its citizens with disabilities. We restore dignity and hope by actively providing families of children with disabilities various educational, food assistance, medical care, and therapeutic services.
Our nationally recognized model of care serves as a roadmap to ensure the delivery of our services at the highest level. It unifies specialists, providing tailored therapies and services under one roof for each individual’s needs.
HUMANITARIAN AID:
James 2:15-17 says, “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Mission to Ukraine takes these words seriously. We have been entrusted by God to care for children with disabilities. To care for women and their children in distress. Not merely with words – but with actions and in truth!
Because of your generous support, Mission to Ukraine has been able to provide essential items to those we serve. Clothing. Diapers. Formula. Medicine. Firewood. Transportation. Food. Just about everything you and I need and can afford, our friends and clients in Ukraine need as well … yet don’t have the resources to provide for themselves.
