Ian Smith Foundation Inc

The Ian Smith Foundation is a charitable grassroots organization that was established in 2005. Our mission is inspiring underserved youth in the state of Indiana to pursue a pathway toward higher education through our innovative and comprehensive program; project S.T.A.M.S. Our vision is to enhance the quality of life for underserved youth in the state of Indiana. The Ian Smith Foundation programming is built on its VALUES. BUILD.INSPIRE. EDUCATE. ACHIEVE. We call these values, the key components for opportunity. 

The Ian Smith Foundation offers 7 uniquely designed programs that cater to the youth we serve. We are unique in that our decision makers have embarked on journeys and have experienced many of the same obstacles the students we serve face today. Our programs are designed to meet youth were they are, build them up, inspire change, educate them with knowledge and ultimately help them achieve their goals. Over the years, we have changed many lives and we hope to continue our efforts with YOUR HELP!

Our 7 uniquely designed programs are aimed to support youth along their pathway to higher education. We offer the following programs:

ISF ACADEMY- tutoring program

The I AM MOVEMENT - mentoring program for adolescent young males

Jr. MANRRS- a program geared towards exposing middle school and high school students to disciplines in STEM

Project S.T.A.M.S. a comprehensive program that helps youth become well-rounded through service, education, sports and self discovery

Youth Basketball Program - sports program that teaches sportsmanship and keeps youth active

Summer Bonanza Enrichment Camp - 6 week summer camp that helps youth stay academically in tune during the summer months

Civic Engagement - community based service that provides hope and joy to the families we serve
