The Heroes Foundation's efforts directly support Hoosiers affected by a cancer diagnosis. Our mission is to provide meaningful support to cancer patients, education to promote cancer prevention and resources to advance research for a cure.

With your support, every Hoosier cancer patient can have a Hero.

No one should have to face cancer alone. And no one person, organization or service can fulfill all of the needs faced by the Indiana cancer community. The great challenge that cancer poses requires collaboration among many individuals and organizations. It requires support services and education to coexist and complement medical care and research. For these reasons, the Heroes Foundation raises money annually and disperses funds to Indiana-based organizations that provide services that positively impact Hoosier cancer patients, caregivers, survivors and scientists working towards a cure.

Why Heroes Foundation?

The Heroes Foundation is cancer agnostic. This means that our funding supports patients regardless of whether they have prostate cancer, lung cancer, leukemia or another type of cancer. In the area of research, this allows us to support investigators whose work can impact how cancer is prevented, diagnosed and treated across the entire cancer research field.

An estimated 42,710 Hoosiers will be diagnosed with cancer in 2024, with prostate, breast and lung cancers expected to be the most prevalent (American Cancer Society).
