Every day, countless veterans face the harsh reality of homelessness, food insecurity, and unemployment. At HVAF of Indiana, we are dedicated to providing hope, housing, and self-sufficiency for all veterans and their families.

Did you know that 24% of U.S. veterans experience food insecurity? In Indianapolis alone, 11% of the homeless population are veterans—a staggering statistic that reminds us of the sacrifices they’ve made for our freedom.

Last year, HVAF provided 37,126 services to veterans, distributed 82,408 pounds of food and clothing, permanently housed 300 veterans, and assisted 297 with employment services. None of this would have been possible without the support of our generous donors.

Army Veteran Darrell shared his experience in an interview, saying, “I’m a walking example of being at the bottom of the barrel, and your donations have made it possible for me to continue my life. It’s been such a blessing.”

Air Force Veteran Dan expressed his gratitude, stating, “I thank the donors for their contributions; it’s given me a second chance at life.”
